It’s been a big year at BugHerd. We’ve rolled out some much‑requested features (and a few surprises) to make your day‑to‑day a little easier. Here’s what we shipped in 2025.

BugHerd gets smarter with AI (Beta)

The beta release of our AI-powered management features was one of our biggest releases in 2025.

This is our team’s first foray into AI, having resisted the urge to AI-wash the product with features that don't genuinely help you work more efficiently.

Here's what's new:

  • Auto-tagging – BugHerd will automatically suggest tags based on the tags already in use on your project or the Default tags you have set up.
  • Auto-title generation – BugHerd will now suggest concise task titles based on the feedback descriptions.

Here's what's new:

  • Lightning fast performance - No more waiting around for syncs
  • Screenshots now include pins - Finally! Your annotated screenshots sync properly to Jira
  • Clean, formatted issue descriptions - BugHerd information appears beautifully formatted instead of messy plain text
  • Custom fields support - Set default values for your Jira custom fields when BugHerd creates issues
  • More features coming soon - Column-to-status mapping, default labels, and other workflow improvements

Feedback deadlines

Need to pause feedback before a handover or go-live?

With Feedback Deadlines, you can now pause new feedback immediately or schedule a feedback deadline, so no more last-minute tasks sneaking in after a review closes.

This was a heavily requested feature from BugHerd customers working in agencies.

A surprise update at the beginning of 2025 for BugHerd customers – but one that was much welcomed.

Round up of fixes and improvements:

We’ve also made several behind-the-scenes improvements and bug fixes:

  • Bulk actions update – You know have the ability to bulk change visibility, move tasks to different a project and delete tasks. You also have the ability to 'select all tasks' in your Task Board with one click.
  • Project Defaults – Pre-populate your projects with custom Columns, Project Tags and permissions for your Clients.
  • Activity Log improvements – You can now see when a task description has been updated.
  • New & improved Install page UI – We rolled out a new Install UI to make it clearer how to get started — whether you’re using the JS snippet, browser extension, or CMS plugin.

What’s next?

We’ve got some big things planned for early 2026.

Thanks for riding with us in 2025. Whether you’re using BugHerd to collect feedback on websites, landing pages, marketing collateral or designs – we love being part of your workflow.

From our team to yours, have a safe and restful holiday season.

We’ll see you in the new year.

Happy BugHerding!
