We checked in with BugHerd Santa, to see if there was anything extra he was delivering to our very special BugHerd customers this year.
The good news is we’ve all been on his Nice list this year. So much so that he’s wrapped up all the new features added to BugHerd, and tied a bow around them. 🎁
Here’s everything that’s changed in BugHerd this year (neatly divided into groups, with links to more information if you need it):
New Year, New UI
2024 kicked off with a new modern UI for BugHerd, that made managing feedback on websites and other deliverables easier than ever. ✨Plus some dedicated focus on making the BugHerd you love faster, more efficient and smoother. Thanks to everyone who gave us feedback!
Simplifying & enhancing how you work with clients
We want to make it as easy as possible for you to capture feedback from your clients and keep them updated throughout the project. Here’s the guest user features you asked for (and some you did not know you needed!
1. No login required to leave guest feedback
We know one big hurdle to getting clients to use BugHerd with you was that they needed to create an account. Not any more. Share websites with clients for feedback using the new Share link to projects! Your clients won’t need to create an account to start leaving feedback. 🙌
If you missed it, here’s a quick video of how it works.
2. Guest project board
We listened to your requests for a simplified version of the Task board to help clients track their feedback. The new Guest Task Board is here to streamline project updates!
Keep guests informed of work in progress
Keeping clients up to date on the progress of project work got easier with new notifications for the status of tasks.
- Clients now get task done emails for tasks they’ve created.
- You can now send a weekly project summary to clients
- Assign tasks to guest users by @mentioning them
- Show guests status updates (and let them change statuses on their tasks)
Best of all, you’re in control of what you let guest users do and what you don’t want them to do.
Better ways to manage multiple projects
We salute the multitaskers juggling multiple projects with multiple stakeholders—your skills are legendary!
Here’s how we’re making it easier to co-ordinate and stay organized.
1. Organise projects the way you want
Make it easier for you and your team to find and manage projects by grouping them into folders. Peak organisation to kick off 2025!
2. Notifications for new comments and mentions
Keep track of new comments and mentions across your projects with in-product notifications on your My Projects board and Task board.
3. Move tasks between projects
We’ve all done it - added a task to the wrong project. Now you can simply move a task from one project to another. Phew!
4. Shortcuts to speed up task creation
View attachments on a task, assign a user to a task by @mentioning them, add an emoji reaction to comments, set a severity or add a tag using the shortcuts. Who doesn’t love a faster way to steam through resolving feedback?
Integrate with the tools you love
Want to use BugHerd with the tools you already love. We’ve added new integrations with:
