Your questions answered
about BugHerd as a website commenting tool.

BugHerd collects visual feedback, complete with a screenshot, annotation and metadata. Feedback that's ready for the team to action, even from non-technical folk.

While other website review tools may require different applications to manage the website feedback, BugHerd offers an all-in-one solution. Feedback is sent directly into BugHerd’s Task Board, a kanban-like environment for design and development teams to manage and act on the website feedback.

What’s a website commenting tool?
A website commenting tool like BugHerd allows you and your team to leave contextual website feedback. Website comments are pinned directly to elements on the page, removing the ambiguity in communication between designers, developers/testers, project managers and clients.

BugHerd can be used for websites throughout the development and testing stages, as well as ongoing post-launch.
Do I need to install anything?
There’s two ways to set BugHerd up to get feedback on a website. You can embed a JavaScript snippet into the “head” of your website or you can install a browser extension to your preferred browser.
Where is the feedback sent?
BugHerd turns the feedback provided into tasks on a kanban style Task Board. Using the Task Board, you can sort, assign and track tasks to completion.
What’s a project?
BugHerd uses the term project to describe a piece of work you need to do. You can definite how big or small a project can be. So you can create a project for a complete website build, a landing page, or a new online learning course. You can set up a project for each client you work with, or for each stage of a project. BugHerd has no limits on the number of projects you can create providing you with flexibility to divide your work up as you prefer.
How do I invite others to a project?
You can invite people to join your project to provide feedback and to help resolve feedback. BugHerd has two main user levels, members and guests. Members are able to view the kanban style Task Board and all the bugs and feedback reported. Guests are only able to provide feedback and respond to comments about bugs or feedback they’ve reported.
Can I integrate BugHerd with existing tools?
BugHerd integrates natively with Slack, GitHub and Wordpress. Using Zapier or Integromat, you can integrate BugHerd with thousands of other tools, including Jira, Asana, Trello and many other project management tools.
