Rails, Rails, Rails, Rails, Rails… React

In 2011, BugHerd emerged as an early success story from a burgeoning Australian startup community – though we didn’t quite make the unicorn club.

Today BugHerd remains a remarkably resilient SaaS product with a highly engaged user base and ongoing growth.

We want a Rails developer who can solve problems creatively and help us navigate a mature codebase as we seek to take BugHerd forward.

You will be comfortable with:

– Ruby/Rails (2.5.3 / 4.2.0)
– Postgres
– Heroku

If you’ve got experience with JavaScript (React mostly) and DevOps that’s a huge plus.

What we offer:

– Autonomy
– Skill development
– Excellent working conditions – we support the need for working from home, flexible hours and unexpected time off.
– Central location – we’re based out of ACMI-X, behind NGV in Melbourne
– 12 weeks parental leave for a primary carer (8 weeks for a secondary carer)
– A competitive salary
– Part-time is cool

Want to spend more time with the family?

Have a side project that you need to support with an ongoing income?

Looking for some stability in life and to get away from contracting?

Want to learn the ins and outs of SaaS so you can build your own internet unicorn?

We can help.

We are a small team (7+) so the work you do makes a direct and measurable difference to our users.

If you want to help transform the future of one of Australia’s early startup successes while maintaining a healthy work-life balance then we would love to have a conversation.
