As BugHerd has grown in popularity so has the number of bugs it's tracking. We have some customers with well over 2000 tasks in BugHerd. The knock-on effect is we need to make it easy to manage all these tasks. A super duper new BugHerd admin is coming your way. To say we're excited is an understatement. Here's what it can do:
Ok, for those who haven't used BugHerd, this may not seem terribly exciting, but let me tell you, it's a big deal! You can add new issues straight from the admin. Not every issue requires point and click reporting, and so we've responded by making it easy to add any old task from the admin. I know you're saying "I can't believe you didn't have that already!?"... but we didn't, so there you go.
You can edit absolutely everything. No more jumping between the admin and the sidebar. Edit, update, comment, attach files, close, reopen and reassign issues straight from the admin. BugHerd for project managers?? Get outta here!
You know how you tag tweets? Soon you'll be able to tag issues too. The new admin allows issues to be tagged with keywords, making it easier to organise them. Think of the benefits! You can tag sprints, or organisational units, or project names or how angry you're feeling...anything!
A new triage system can be used to quickly assign, tag and prioritise (or bin) issues as you receive them. Essential if you have a large team of reporters or plan to use the new public feedback feature. Schedule your sprints, or prioritise tasks to make sure your team only has to focus on the important stuff.
Finding old issues has been a pain. A new searchable archive makes it simple. Find closed tasks by Id, description, who created it, who worked on it, or by tag!
Quickly search and filter issues by keyword, user, tags, priority, status, date and more. You seriously have no idea how cool this is! Soon you'll be able to save views and create quick links to get an overview of your project, no matter what level of detail you need.
We still have a lot of work to do, but we'll soon offer full kanban support with drag and drop prioritisation of tasks. This is everything you thought our current admin would do, but doesn't! We can't wait for you to try it!
A beta version will be available for testing shortly. Let's us know if you'd like to try it out: firstname.lastname@example.org
If you're as excited as we are, do us a favour and shoot out a tweet!
